Pear-shaped moissanite has a unique tear-dropped shaped cut that is suitable for a five prong setting. Pear-shaped diamonds are commonly seen with a bow-tie (dark facets in the center of the stone), which is usually not a desirable trait. The stones we sell are cut to minimize the bow-tie effect.
